Alexandria, VA – The Airport Consultants Council (ACC) is pleased to announce the recognition of Chris Spaulding as a 2015 Top 40 Under 40 by Airport Business. The magazine’s annual Top 40 Under 40 issue highlights outstanding, up-and-coming individuals in the business of aviation and airport management who are shaping the future of the industry. This issue also marks the first year of a partnership between Airport Business and ACC, in which ACC provided three judges to assist in the selection process of the 2015 winners. Judges included Carol Lurie, Principal and Senior Planner at VHB and 2015 ACC Board Chair; Laddie Irion, Senior Vice President, National Aviation Market Sector Leader at HNTB and ACC Past Board Chair; and Courtney Beamon, President at Delta Airport Consultants and ACC Past Board Chair.

"There is no question that Chris has made a positive impact on the airport development industry in his short time with ACC," said ACC President T.J. Schulz. "Chris is passionate about the industry and aviation in general, and his work in fostering training and networking opportunities through the ACC Young Professionals Forum has helped to inform and engage the new generation of industry leaders."

Chris joined ACC in January, 2013. As Coordinator of Communications, he currently manages the council’s communications platforms as well as their Young Professionals Forum, which has over 200 members and fosters professional development training and networking. Prior to joining ACC, Chris graduated from St. Cloud State University, in St. Cloud, MN with a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management in July, 2012. He was very involved in the university’s American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) student chapter, volunteered at multiple airports during his collegiate career including the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, and interned during the summer of 2011 in Washington, DC, at a political consulting firm. He is currently working on his private pilot license and volunteers at Reagan National Airport as a customer service volunteer, and he intends to increase his involvement in airports and airport development during his career at ACC.
