FAA investigates jet crash at Marco Island Airport

BY TOM LLOYD • MARCH 1, 2015 MARCO ISLAND, Fla. – According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, a challenger jet carrying nine passengers ended up 60 feet off the runway Sunday evening. It happened at the Marco Island Executive Airport just before 5 p.m. Authorities told WINK News one person was taken to a local hospital, but they did not say the extent of the injuries. The Federal Aviation Administration will be investigating the crash.
