Kansas City International Airport hosts SSi’s Airport LEO Security Training 5/21-22 to prepare personnel regarding Airport Police functions. Requirements for Airport LEOs have evolved to a full-spectrum of critical safety and security topics in an environment that is unique to airports. Safety & Security Instruction offers regulatory training (49CFR 1542.215) to Airport Law Enforcement personnel that addresses these challenges in a course which includes eLearning as a Pre-Study Curriculum. This blended learning approach combines computer-based training with a 2-day on-site workshop to provide best value for the student. Instructors Chris Pheasant and Kevin Dougherty provide a comprehensive strategy consisting of terrorism mitigation tactics, agency functions discussion, and the Airport Security Program as it pertains to airport LEOs.
