Abilene Regional Airport Receives Airport of the Year Award

Abilene Regional Airport was presented with the Airport of the Year Award for Region Four Thursday morning in the Abilene Regional Airport’s Level One Conference Room.

John Sides, The Federal Security Director from Lubbock, Texas presented the award.

The award is given by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and recognized the Abilene airport as one that exhibits exceptional courtesy and attentiveness to all passengers and customers while offering the highest quality of airport security.

Region Four consists of Abilene, Amarillo, Lubbock, Midland and San Angelo airports.

To qualify for this award the airport must receive a nomination. Transportation Security Manager for the Abilene Regional Airport, Claude “Milt” Milton, submitted a written nomination for ABI’s positive relationship with the TSA division.
