Santo Domingo.- The airports security agency (CESAC) and the Punta Cana Group on Tuesday announced an agreement to bolster the terminal’s security.
CESAC director Miguel Paulino and the tourism mogul Frank Ranieri agreed that while domestic airports provide safety and security for travelers, their services and protection need to be expanded.
They said they’ll involve all sectors linked to the airports, with programs and plans aimed at improving security, efficiency, cooperation and interagency relations, for the benefit of travelers and maintain the country’s good image.
During a meeting with Raineri and other tourism business leaders, Espinal said with the approaching high season and its jump in the number of foreign visitors, Punta Cana Airport’s security and protection will be significantly heightened. “We’ll work together to strengthen training programs for our military and civilian personnel, to ensure optimal and efficient security at our airports.”
